Jesus’ commission to the whole body of believers became the foundation for a commitment on the part of each believing Christian to continue God’s mission in the world today. The whole body of the Church of Jesus Christ is included in this mission. Feeding the people that were hungry was part one of Jesus’ work on earth. Hunger knows no season. It is our responsibility to follow Jesus’ lead and help those in need.

1John 3:16-17 “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
